Debit or Credit

When averaged over multiple occurrences a debit option strategy  has  negative expectation. 
In particular Option calendar is a costly low profit strategy hence works  only with an expensive underlying while capital allocation has to be kept small . The bottom line line is option calendar is not suitable  for a typical retail account.
